i believe that the answer is B not D.
the assumption is a new piece of info that supports the conclusion. answer D is not a new info. it is a restatement of one of the premises "A reason Larson cannot do the assignment is that she has an unavoidable scheduling conflict". answer D is an inference not assumption.
