How can "it" refer to "patent"? Try replacing "it" with "patent" in this sentence- "Myriad Genetics feels patent is entitled to patent's patent on the new DNA compound". I think "it" refers to Myriad Genetics. I also feel "it" in the second part of the sentence after comma is not necessary.
