Either Perry’s faction or Tucker’s faction, butnot both , will win control of the government. -It means that someone (Perry or Tucker) will definitely win the election & it's not possible that BOTH will win.
If Perry’s faction wins, the nation will suffer economically. -
This is tricky part - we can restate in otherterm.
(ST-1)- If Perry’s faction wins, IT'S CERTAIN THAT the nation will suffer economically & IT'S ALSO POSSIBLE THAT the nation will suffer militarily.
