GMAT Sentence Correction (SC) | Re: Either you transfer the data which was demanded or file a

I understand the part about data being plural and datum being singular.

But, why does the answer has to start with

"You either..."

Instead of
"Either you transfer"... This one sounds more right.

Can someone please explain?
