GMAT Critical Reasoning (CR) | Re: Labor laws cannot in and of themselves eliminate the discrepancy

Hi colorbrandon and Karishma,

Initially I chose choice A, because (a) says that it reduces the discrepancy, whereas the argument says that it will not eliminate. I was under the impression that it will not eliminate but to some extend can reduce the discrepancy , so it's the correct answer.

Now I understood how I was wrong and the OA is correct.
