GMAT Critical Reasoning (CR) | Re: A greater number of newspapers are sold in Town S than in

I chose D because I thought it didn't weaken the argument that "citizens of Town S are better informed about major world events than are the citizens of Town T".

D says something that feels "out of scope" and therefore I thought I didn't weaken.

Looking at E, it feels as if it actually strengthens, which would be even better I guess.

Anyone with comments regarding D?
