We are comparing the versatility of wood with the versatility of bamboo. 'B' is out because of wrong comparison.'E' is out because of 'than.' 'As than' is the wrong idiom."Will" and "is" are not required in "A" and "D". Hence "C" is the answer. Here we are using a command word "suggest". So the correct format is "suggest that followed by the base form of the verb." The base form of the verb is "be" out here.
