GMAT Sentence Correction (SC) | Re: Researchers are using computer images to help surgeons

In the original sentence " plan difficult operations and to develop programs that will work for doctors and nurses in the same way that flight simulators do", the idiom is in the same way that. Shouldn't the idiom be in the same way as?
