I think that note-taking on Verbal is only usefulwhen you use it as a tool to aid understanding, instead of memory . The passage or argument stays on the screen, so why bother taking notes to aid your memory? You can always look back at the relevant parts of the passage instead of looking at your notes, and it'll probably be quicker, too.
But the reason I and many of my students take notes at least sometimes on Verbal, is becausegood note-taking can help you wrap your head around a passage.
