GMAT Critical Reasoning (CR) | Columnist: In a recent article an economist argues

i was stuck between B and D . Rest all i eliminated.

Reading D again meant more explanation to the asked contradiction in question.Coz corporations are meant for profitability.

D states the same that corporation fund money because it helps them to be profitable .choice B is diverting more and doesn't explain this contradiction.
So IMO D
