GMAT Sentence Correction (SC) | Re: The absence from business and financial records of the nineteenth cent

I was first confused between D & E, but finally marked E for the answer.

In D there is parallelism error as it compare "jobs that women performed or of " to "how" aspect.
it should compare "what" and " how" aspect.

So IMO answer should be E.
