To solve the traffic congestion problem of the 60 km long north-south link road, the municipal corporation has decided to build a parallel road for the middle stretch of 50 km of the north-south link road. The administration hopes to recover the money spent on this project by charging a toll of Rs. 50 for the first year after the completion of this new road. They estimate the traffic to become evenly distributed between the two roads only after this initial year.
