Since points are collinear, then the pass through same line , it means their slope issame
m=\(\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}\)

for (a, 0) and (1, 1)
m=\(\frac{1-a}{1}\)

for (1, 1) and (0, b)
m=\(\frac{-1}{b-1}\)

since both slope is sameso
\(1-a\) =\(\frac{-1}{b-1}\)

a=\(\frac{1}{b-1}\)+1

a=\(\frac{b}{b-1}\)

Hence,C
