GMAT Sentence Correction (SC) | Although 35 Asian freshwater turtles were initially placed in captivit

I have a doubt in this question as I had selected the incorrect answer.
My verbal tutor had once taught us a rule in the class saying that,[adverb] +[verb] is incorrect usage and that the right usage is[verb] +[adverb] . This is the reason why I eliminated Option (A) and Option (E) immediately.

Eg.
1. The food was slowly cooked. (Incorrect)
2. The food was cooked slowly. (Correct)

Could someone please throw some light on this? Did my ma'am teach an incorrect rule? Does a rule like this even exists? If not, is Statement
