The GMAT will not test decisions between theseforms of possessive constructions, for the reasons articulated above.

This type of splitCOULD , however, appear as a requiredstep in a GMAT SC problem if one of the two options is ungrammatical or isnonsense —for reasons that will not be tied specifically to_____'s or to OF_____ .
