Lately, I believe that GMAT is ignoring the hair –splits about the possessive pronoun poison
However, for the sake of academics, the "rule" is:
Non-possessive pronoun with possessive noun is not ok. ----Tom’s + he, him --- is not ok.
OK: Tom’s + his
