As described in my previous post, do not search for an antecedent for a placeholder "it".
"It" is used to hold the position of an awkward subject or object, which is often moved to the end of thesentence.
That you are ill seems..... the subject that-clause is awkward. Hence it is taken at the back of the sentence and "it" holds its position.
