Q2 and Q3 have very ambiguous answers and OE would be helpful here.

For Q2 Keep a record of bot the successes and failures of the practitioner, may or may not have bearing whether practitioner‘s intervention is cause for it. Suppose 10 patients all survive, you can not conclude if it was because of intervention or self limit.

For Q3 Beliefs can be maintained even in the absence of strong supporting evidence, Author is not saying this but he is saying you cant refute anything just because some other thing is present and you can connect anything if you can make drastic enough changes environment. There is big difference in twonarratives.
