Stanford GSB | Calling all Stanford MBA Applicants: 2024 Intake Class of 2026

I totally understand your feelings but if you are dinged it's very unlikely that it's because your main essay was too vulnerable or falls short or something like that. There are so so many pieces to the picture. I would say that having a compelling essay is necessary but not sufficient. Rather than thinking about this as something you wrote specifically for Stanford consider that it's content you've created for yourself that you might look to repurpose. My client who applied to GSB found it pretty easy to edit her WMM essay to repurpose for Yale and it still fits the prompt. Also if you end up at Duke its very unlikely you will spend time worrying about not being at Stanford (unless you are going for entrepreneurship). It also has a terrificcommunity.
