If your difficulties with the practice test were largely a result of your unfamiliarity with the GMAT (e.g., the data sufficiency questions threw you off, the sentence correction question format didn't make any sense, etc.) then it's conceivable you can increase your score to 700+ in 6 weeks, but it's quite likely you will need more time.
I suggest you familiarize yourself with all aspects of the GMAT and then try another practice test to see where you stand.
