i missed the q.6

I was deciding between B,C and I thought they were both unlikely but still better than others. I go with B even if I did not 100% agree.

My reasoning is that while B has a slight chance that it cast doubt on the previous sentence while for C there is no where stating that the report mentioned in the first para is anecdotal, so anecdotal is not really related to the view in para1. Am I overthinking?
