In Stems A, B, and E, it appears that it's Harold Brodkkey's eagerly anticipated first novel that actually became famous for not writing a book, which doesn't make sense...
In that case, as POE I would have chosen D even if it does change the meaning by saying that Harold Broadkey anticipated his own book...
