GMAT Sentence Correction (SC) | Re: Sex is one of the topics that creates a great amount of confusion

Is this really an Economist q? It's very oddly formal, especially since it also chooses to bring in the un-GMAT-like topic of sex ed.

In any case, I'm assuming there's supposed to be a semicolon after "adolescents," at least in the correct answer. Otherwise they all die by comma splice!
