Notice that (E) does not explain why the price of regular cameras remained the same "despite the market ... leaning toward digital cameras."
After, regardless of what (E) says about "many consumers," overall, the market did not prefer regular cameras.
So, (E) doesn't materially change what we know about the market. It just qualifies it, leaving in place basically the same scenario we already had, in which demand for regular cameras decreased but the price did not.
