­C is the correct answer because if it is not possible only to separate ones needs and desire and the knowledge of the cognitive abilities that means then no contentment from the activity....will become inevitable, the argument becomes weak. If it is possible to separate the two then what the author states holds relevance and the argument is made stronger. Hence, C.
