I think E is the second best here whileD is the best. I think(D)  aligns with Machiavelli's philosophy as portrayed in "ThePrince." Machiavelli suggests that in the realm of politics, appearance often matters more than reality. He argues that it is sufficient for a prince to appear to have faith when dealing with others, even if they do not genuinely hold to it. Machiavelli emphasizes the importance of deception and manipulation in politics, stating that "men are so simple, and so subject to present necessities, that he who seeks to deceive will always find someone who will allow himself to bedeceived."
