MIM is generally for fresh graduates. MBA can offer way more than what MIM can. For most of the MIM programs, cap for max work experience is 2 years. Above 2 years you will qualify for many of the good MBA programs, if you are good then even the clg that require 5 years work ex will pick you up. Good luck
