GMAT Verbal Section | Re: Inference/Conclusion/Assumption ??

Hey all

What is the difference between inference and conclusion?
Some sites say the are different........some say they are synonyms........if I have to create a wall of difference between the two, what would be the basis for it?

Some sites say that inference is not stated explicitly like an assumption. So are these two same?
