GMAT Sentence Correction (SC) | Re: The sale of government surplus machinery will begin at 9

i am wondering if in E continue should add an "s", because "the sale" is singular and the first verb use the future tense, it's OK
but continue stands for present and future it should be used as "continues" am i right?
