GMAT Critical Reasoning (CR) | Re: Fund manager: over the last five years, the various stock funds manage

the answer should be D as it is possible that the major part of the investment is other than the stock fund so even if increase in the value of stock fund it does not reflect company's success with regard to increase in the value of just stock fund .
although i have a doubt regarding A , can someone explain the better reason to eliminate A
