GMAT Sentence Correction (SC) | Re: Significantly more advanced and sophisticated than the mechanical pros

Hello expert, just i want to be double sure, i understand option 'a' is correct, but if in option a , in place of "as a real limb does" , we would have "like a real limb" (maintaining all the parallelism), than at that time option 'a' would be wrong ... am i correct?
