Aren't we comparing the way of communication here?
What I have read is AS + NOUN is correct only when we are telling the role of something. So, as per the meaning of the sentence, it should be dolphins communicate as humans do. But as per the OA marked, it is saying Dolphins communicate and then they play the role of a Human.
I am not clear on this.
