I think E is out because the underlined portion is dependent clause as it is connected by a comma, but it does not have a VERB in it.

Please correct if I am wrong. Thanks


Hi,
There is no grammatical error in option E . It is not correct as it changes meaning of the original sentence. The noun phrase after comma is absolute phrase that is modifying the main clause
