If the average (arithmetic mean) of a, b, and c is 2x, and the average of d and e is 3y, what is the average of a, b, c, d, and e in terms of x and y?

A. x - y
B. x + y
C. 6x + 6y
D. \(\frac{2x + 3y}{5}\)
E. \(\frac{6x + 6y}{5}\)

\(a + b + c = 6x\)
\(d + e = 6y\)

So,\(a + b + c + d + e = 6x + 6y\)

Thus, the average of a, b, c, d, and e in terms of x and y is\(\frac{6x + 6y}{5}\)

Hence, answer will be (E) \(\frac{6x + 6y}{5}\)
