Hi. Let me try.

Lets say we start with a number 100. Now if we are going to increase this number by 120%, the result will be:
100 + 120% of 100 = 100+120 = 220

But if we are going to increase this number to 120.. then the result simply will be 120 (earlier the number was 100, now we have increased it to 120).
