I think the assumption should be something like " the means of production is controllable by the working class" (otherwise the working class CAN NOT make it under a Marxist economic system) or "a Marxist economic system will work well in the situation stated in the argument" (otherwise, the is NO USE controlling the means of production under a Marxist economic system).
