Hi - for E, isnt "were" a problem ...
The Acts of Trade and Navigation --- isnt this singular ?
I think of this as a collective noun as its its most probably one charter with different points (acts) .... any thoughts on this being a singular noun and not a plural one, which will eliminate E ?
Also even if it was plural, E then has an issue with the green below
Hence E is a safe elimination
---------
The Acts of Trade and Navigation, passed by Parliament to protect British trade
