GMAT Sentence Correction (SC) | Re: Eating saltwater fish may significantly reduce the risk of

Hi folks someone can point out what will be the main subject and verb for the sentence as eating saltwater fish is the main subject for the sentence and reduce is the verb and as subject is singular if I am not wrong kindly throw some light on it
