Four consecutive odd numbers =\((2x-3), (2x-1), (2x+1), (2x+3)\) .
Three consecutive even numbers =\((2y-2), 2y, (2y+2)\) .

\( (2x-3) + (2x-1) + (2x+1) + (2x+3) = (2y-2)\)
