I usually tend to write down ABCDE multiple times on my scratch pad to keep a better track of the POE for the Verbal Section.

It would certainly eat up a lot of time if you write ABCDE for every question. You may just fill the small tiny squares on scratch pad in a row with:
1. X for wrong
2. ~ if you would re-evaluate a choice
