X equals to Y% of what number?

Let the number\(y%\) of which is\(x\) be\(z\) -->\(\frac{y}{100}*z=x\) -->\(z=\frac{100x}{y}\) . Basically we need to calculate the ratio\(\frac{x}{y}\) .

(1) X = 3Y -->\(\frac{x}{y}=3\) . Sufficient.

(2) 6Y+2X = 56X/14 -->\(6y+2x=4x\) -->\(6y=2x\) -->\(\frac{x}{y}=3\) . Sufficient.

Answer: D.
