General GMAT Questions and Strategies | Just scored 39V 44Q (690); Help me plan for the next one with ESR

Howdy y'all,

I just scored a 39V 44Q 8IR (690) on my first run through with a really strange score combination.

For perspective, I'm a mechanical design engineer and project manager at a fortune 500 company. I have a 4.0 undergrad math GPA in upper level classes and completed a math minor (3.1 major gap in mechanical engineering from top 10 school).

Before the GMAT:

Quant: Studied for quant using Magoosh and GMAT club forums. My last four scores on GMAT club quant CATs were 44, 48, 49, 51.
