Didn't request for an esr so did not really get to analyze the verbal section. However, you are right... just being vigilant during the whole section and not getting lax was the solution.
I took a retest today, with minimal study in the three weeks between the two tests. My score:
Total 700
Quant 50
Verbal 34
I feel verbal could have been better. Possibly accuracy could have suffered. Pacing was totally fine this time and I did not struggle with pressure to complete.
