Here i replace "caused by" and it sounds very wrong. I picked B b/c the ending in E couldn't be correct, but could someone elaborate whether the question is flawed or indeed the usage in B is right?
Due to must modify nouns, not verbs. The best way to see if the use of 'due to' is correct is to substitute it with 'caused by'. If the sentence still makes sense you can use 'due to'. If not, you need to use some other construction.
