It has to be Option E. Option D clearly states that patients over 65 years age who did not benefited from surgery were fully kept informed about the risks and benefits from the surgery as those who benefited. Its just a paraphrasing of what is mentioned in the argument. Whereas in Option E, patients are medically indistinguishable which means that doctors are not aware of differences between two patients before the operation
