Using templates is definitely a plagiarism, as plagiarism is not only word-to-word copying, but "stealing" someone's ideas, style, etc. If your essay doesn't reflect your own thoughts, it can't be considered yours. If your professor isn't very strict and you know for 100% he doesn't use special plagiarism checker, you can use a template, I guess. But remember thatparaphrase doesn't save you from plagiarism in writings in spite of the widespread opinion that it is a usual and right practice
