I picked the correct answer but I'm confused about the construction "Little did X know how brief his tenure would be".

One can say: "I know how short my vacation will"
One can also say: "I know little about the wheather tomorrow"

According to my understanding, if one uses an adjective to describe knowledge one has to add "about" but this word is apparently missing in the mentioned sentence.
To me, it would sound better to say: "Little did X know
...
