Problem Solving (PS) | Re: If 0.002x + 0.004y = 4, what is the value of y in terms of x?

0.002x + 0.004y = 4

Subtract 0.002x on both sides and then divide both sides by 0.004

y = \frac{(4 - 0.002x)}{0.004}

Multiplying Numerator and Denominator by 1000 (to remove the decimal)

y = \frac{(4000 - 2x)}{4}

Separate the numerator

y = \frac{(4000}{4)} - \frac{(2x}{4)}

y = 1000 - 0.5x

Choice D
