I personally feel taking written notes isn't really helpful, since the biggest constraint is time, taking mental notes work better. Writing everything on paper and then re-visiting those points to tally the options eats lot of time. Instead while reading the argument at first go make a mental note of premise and conclusion. Don't move ahead until these two are clear in your head. Then read question stem, after deducing the question stem apply a little prethinking, as in if it's a strengthen
