I thought that this question is checking subjunctive verb, in which the answer would have been between C and D. But subjunctive verb is 'require' not 'requires'.

Hey!

Please refer to the following portion of the passage to understand the source of the answer for Question#2 :

Lucy’s wide, shallow pelvis is actually better suited to bipedal walking than is the rounder, bowl-like pelvis of the modern human , which evolved to form the larger birth canal needed to accommodate the head of a large-brained human infant. Yeah really good question. I'd read it this way - it's not as much (at least to me) about the difference between "they" and "those" as pronouns, but more that (E) (and also (B)) add the word "of." And taken together, "those of" we know is a possessive construction. *That* is what would trigger me to go back and look for the possessive "Thai village crafts" and make sure that I'm matching possessive to possessive (as opposed to carrying the entire construction over to "they.")

I am also still convinced that the answer choice should be B. If the amount of nicotine in most cigarettes is "somewhat" (whatever that means) less than the maximum amount, this would show that a decrease in nicotine has been ineffective previously. By reducing the maximum nicotine permitted by law, the effect will either be negligible on the amount of nicotine per cigarette (depending on the

List within a list:

Main Lists in parallelism should be joined with commas+and.

Sub Lists in parallelism should be joined by a series of 'and' with, preferably, start word as common for each entity.

In original sentence, main series is spliced correctly:
was responsible for +
1. a reduction,
2. an increase, and
3. a boost

However, Sub Series is incorrect. Start word 'increase' should repeat for each sub list and spliced with 'and'.

Hence, Ans B
